Live Bait Theater is one of the few Chicago theaters dedicated exclusively to world premiere plays. Through the years a community of artists has grown up and flourished around us, but that doesn't stop us from discovering new talent. How do you get involved?

Actors
|
| We urge you to attend a Live Bait show before you apply to work with us. We have free previews that are listed in The Reader and on our website. Mail us your head-shot and resume and if we’re interested, we’ll call you in to audition. We audition per show, we don’t do an open call.

Directors |
Submit your resume and keep us posted on your current projects. If you are developing a new play, we are particularly interested.

Designers |
Submit your resume and keep us posted on your current projects.
|
Interns |
Live Bait has an active intern program. If you are interested, send a query letter describing with your job experience and why you think you’d be a good fit with our organization. Some jobs are paid, others may be unpaid. It depends on your experience and what we have available.

Job Applicants |
If you are interested in box office, management or development positions send us a resume to keep on file.

Volunteers |
Live Bait Theater does community work through its Bait Hook and Link program. We have active programming at the Blaine School, the Uptown Library and our Police Teen Link improv classes. We also need volunteers for our Doodle Benefit in the fall, either during the actual event or to solicit celebrity doodles. If you are interested in being on our board, we’d love to talk with you. If you’re retired, in between jobs or just looking to get out of the house one-day a week and contribute to a non-for profit, this is a great organization to work for. |
